About Romku
Romku is a collaborative portal that aims to reference all existing software, applications, suites, games, utilities, scripts, libraries, frameworks, and tools (currently over 100,000).
Each profile provides all the information users need to decide which software to use, integrate, download, buy, contribute to, or simply play with.
Users can submit new software, edit existing profile pages, add screenshots, mark profiles as their favourites, compare multiple profiles, and view software features.

Romku, the name
These days it is hard to find a domain name that is less than 5 characters so you really have to try hard. At the same time, a unique name is always better as it is unlikely to confuse search engine. romku's name comes from a lot of random inspiration (such as the word "Library" in Chinese, or ROM for Read Only Memory)

We never realised the number of tools we are using until we created the list below. We are trying to use open-source software, partly because in the early stage of this project, funding is non existent,partly because they are as good if not better than non open-source software. Pierre Morel is the founder of Romku. He is currently a software engineer in a startup company and works on this project in his spare time.
